James Biddle, M.D.
graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia School
of Medicine in 1989 and completed his residency in
Internal Medicine in Portland, Oregon in 1992. He
specializes in "Integrative Medicine," combining
the best of conventional and complementary approaches.
Dr. Biddle is board certified by the American Board of
Internal Medicine and is certified in Chelation Therapy.
He is a member of the American College of Physicians and
the American College for Advancement in Medicine.
Dr. Biddle has also been certified in hypnotherapy,
massage therapy, and Reiki. In addition, Dr. Biddle
is a member of Earthaven (http://www.earthaven.org),
a permaculture community building toward a sustainable
society that nurtures both humans and the earth.

Sharon
Willingham, M.D.
graduated from The University of Louisville School of
Medicine in 1981. She completed an internship on
Pediatrics at University of Louisville, then a residency
in Psychiatry at the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
Dr. Willingham has certification in myofascial pain
management and kinesiology (PKP). She is actively
pursuing a study of how the mind creates changes in the
body and she is interested in energy medicine, nutritional
healing and the integration of sciences to promote
healing. |

Sudeshna
Dasgupta-O'Brien, M.D.
- We're excited to welcome Dr. Dasgupta to our practice.
Dr. Dasgupta is board certified in Pediatrics, and will be
seeing both adults and children here. She has
recently completed her Defeat Autism Now certification to
work with autistic patients. Dr. Dasgupta graduated
from Calcutta Medical College, University of Calcutta, in
1980 with an MBBS degree (Bachelor of Medicine and
Bachelor of Surgery), which is equivalent to an MD degree.
She completed a rotating internship in 1981 followed by
one year as house-staff in Pediatrics in 1982. After
coming to the US, she completed residency in Pediatrics in
Chicago, Illinois in 1987. Dr. Dasgupta has also earned a
Master of Public Health with a focus on Maternal and Child
Health in 1995 from University of North Carolina at Chapel
Hill. She is currently working for the CDSA, Children's
Developmental Services Agency, in Asheville and Boone, NC,
while training in Naturopathic Medicine. Her focus
is women's and children's health issues, especially
prevention of illness and promotion of health. She is
particularly interested in nutrition, environmental
toxins, and energy medicine. She is a valuable
addition in our increasing work with children here at AIM.

available for Primary Care, hospital care, or after-hours

Anne Walch, MHS, PA-C
graduated from Duke University's Physician Assistant
program in 1985. She worked for 7 years on faculty
at Duke's Family Medicine Department, including Women's
Health, Sports medicine, and the Travel Medicine Clinics.
Anne then worked in Nepal for 3 years, gaining more
experience in adventure medicine, tropical diseases, and
pediatrics. Anne came to Integrative Medicine via
her long-standing interests in health and nutrition,
meditation, and the experience of healing an illness of
her own. She has special interests in nutrition,
endocrine disorders, natural hormone therapies, and
environmental toxins.

John
Paul McNeil, PA
was born in Baltimore, Maryland and raised in the
Southeast as the child of a career Marine Corps officer.
He received his BA in Psychology from Wake Forest
University, and taught General Science in the public
school system for several years. He has tried his hand as
a professional musician, and has had a horse farm as well.
John Paul entered the medical field as an ultrasound
technician. He did this for several years before attending
Physician Assistant School at Wake Forest University.
After graduating he worked as a Psychiatric PA for 8 years
in West Virginia. John Paul has been practicing holistic
medicine in North Carolina for the past 12 years. His
particular interests are herbal medicine, mentored by the
late Chief Two Trees of Old Fort, NC and chelation
therapy, mentored by the late Walter Ward, MD of Winston
Salem, NC. John Paul enjoys spending time with his
daughter, who is currently working on her bachelors degree
at UNC- Greensboro. He also loves horses and keeps one in
Barnardsville. John Paul's other interests include writing
and recording music. He has collected seven guitars at
last count. His music will be available on his upcoming
website. Please stop by our Etowah location at 6071
